Peavey 18″ Subwoofer Speaker 800 Watts Peak Dark Matter DM 118 SUB

The Peavey Dark Matter DM 118 SUB is a professional 18-inch powered subwoofer designed to deliver deep, powerful and controlled bass for PA systems, DJ events, live shows, stage performances, clubs and professional sound reinforcement. With an 800W peak power rating, premium heavy-duty woofer and professional connectivity, the DM 118 SUB is built for demanding audio applications where strong low-frequency performance is essential.

Powerful 18-Inch Bass Performance

The 18-inch premium heavy-duty woofer produces deep, punchy and powerful low frequencies, helping extend the bass response of full-range speaker systems. Its 800W peak power provides the output needed for high-energy music, live performances and professional events.

The vented bass enclosure is designed to improve airflow and low-frequency efficiency, providing powerful bass response while helping maintain controlled performance.

Kosmos® C Bass Enhancement

The integrated adjustable Kosmos® C bass enhancement feature allows users to customize the low-frequency impact according to their sound system and application. It can add additional punch and depth to music, making the subwoofer particularly suitable for DJs, live bands and entertainment venues.

Internal Crossover & Professional Connectivity

The DM 118 SUB features an internal line-level low-pass/high-pass crossover network for integrating the subwoofer with compatible full-range speakers.

Connectivity includes an XLR/1/4-inch combo input, along with two high-pass XLR outputs and one full-range thru XLR output. This allows the subwoofer to be integrated into larger professional audio systems and connected to additional speakers.

A polarity switch assists with system alignment, while the ground lift switch can help reduce unwanted ground-loop hum in compatible setups.

Reliable Cooling & Rugged Construction

For demanding applications, the DM 118 SUB uses forced-air cooling to help manage operating temperature during extended use.

The cabinet features a full-coverage heavy-duty perforated steel grille for protection, along with steel handles for easier transportation. Large heavy-duty locking casters with damped bearings make moving and positioning the subwoofer more convenient.

A threaded pole mount with speaker pole provides additional setup flexibility for compatible speaker configurations.
